Tug of war

Tug of war is a sport that directly puts two teams against each other in a test of strength: teams pull on opposite ends of a rope, with the goal being to bring the rope a certain distance in one direction against the force of the opposing team's pull.

Onam is the national festival of Kerala symbolizing equality, prosperity and the triumph of good. It is based on a mythical story about the homecoming of a legendary and noble Kerala King Maveli and reflects some of Kerala's unique culture and finest traditions - intricate flower carpets, an elaborate banquet lunch, tantalizing snake boat races, and classical dances. Every year WMA celebrates the festival which attracts around 1300 attendees. The event concludes with a grand vegetarian dinner.Since 2009, WMA celebrates Onam in Wellington making it the 2nd largest ethnic event in Lower Island with attendance around 1200 people. After the resounding success, WMA’s 2018 Onam is planned as follows:
